Commonly known as dog rose. A seeding species of wild rose which is commonly used for hedging or in a wild life garden. Single fragrant blooms, pale pink in colour are produced singularly or in clusters throughout the summer n a large spreading, arching bush. Blooms are followed by an oval 1.5-2cm red-orange fruit/hip. Foliage is large, light green and plentiful with hooked thorns on the stems making this perfect for a barrier. Hardy. Good disease resistance. Grows to anything up to 500cm in height if left unchecked.
