Architectural Plants

We sell a broad range of architectural plants, including olive trees, tree ferns, bamboos, palm trees, maple trees, acers, evergreen trees, succulents, ferns, grasses and topiary. These can give your garden a new dimension and can provide all year round appeal.

Some architectural plants have excellent screening properties and are ideal for providing screening from neighbours, unsightly views such as roads or industrial estates, or to prevent you and your garden privacy from higher areas.

Our horticulturally trained staff can provide you with help and guidance on what would grow best in your garden. Help is also at hand when your car needs loading with your purchases. We also operate a local home delivery service.

Climbing Plants

We have a wide range of climbing plants, including clematis, ivy, honeysuckle, creepers, sweat peas, grape vines and wisteria. These are ideal for growing over archways, on a trellis and over walls and fences. We also grow and sell a wide selection of climbing roses. The range of climbing plants include rambling varieties, fast growing, evergreen, semi-evergreen, variegated, flowered and scented.

Conifers & Evergreens

If you need a conifer, we will have the exact specimen you want. We grow all varieties - dwarf, slow growing, fast growing, container grown, root-balled and larger cultivars - and stock a range of sizes. Pictured below are just a selection of our conifers.

Flowering Shrubs

Rumwood Nurseries & Garden Centre grows and sells a broad range of flowering shrubs, including evergreen shrubs, deciduous shrubs, winter flowering shrubs, and some with scented blooms.

We supply many Garden Centres, Nurseries, Local Authorities, Crematoriums and Landscapers, so as you can imagine our standards are high.

If you need advice on the most appropriate shrub for your growing conditions, simply ask any of our horticulturally trained staff who will always be willing to help.

Gravels & Composts

We have a range of composts, soils, manure, basket composts, top soil and lawn dressings. We stock products from all the popular suppliers, including Westland and J Arthur Bowers.

We also stock bark chippings, weed suppressants, ornamental gravels, rocks, pebbles to meet your hard landscaping requirements.

Please ask our horticulturally trained staff for advice on the most suitable compost for your plants. Our staff can also help load your purchases into your car.

Grow Your Own

Rumwood Nurseries & Garden Centre sells numerous items that can help you grow your own fruit and vegetables. In addition to seeds, vegetables, herbs, soft fruit plants and fruit trees, we also sell planters, seed trays, watering cans, poly tunnels, plant labels, propagators, potting trays, gardening canes and a range of composts. Rumwood Nurseries & Garden Centre is a stockist of Halls greenhouses.

Outdoor Living

We sell a range of items to enable you to make the best of your garden, patio, conservatory or summer house. Items include metal and wooden garden furniture, sets of tables and chairs, seats for the garden, patio furniture, outdoor cushions, parasols, gazebos, garden mirrors and water features.

Perennials & Alpines

We have a good range of perennials that make the perfect addition to a traditional English border or when planted with shrubs.

We also have a good range of alpine plants. These look great planted in rockeries, flower beds or planters.

Pots & Ornaments

We have a huge selection of outstanding pots in all shapes, colours and sizes. Examples include terracotta pots, plastic pots, large pots, small pots, moderns pots, traditional pots, Italian pots, Malaysian pots and Thai Glazed pots. All are guaranteed frost-resistant.

We also have a range of planters and garden containers, and raised beds which are ideal for growing herbs and vegetables without having to crouch down.

Seasonal Plants

We have a good range of seasonal flowering plants available all year round, in various colours, pots sizes and heights. These are great as bedding plants and hanging baskets, including varieties such as pansies, violas, primroses, and bulbs.

We have regular deliveries of seasonal plants. Please ask our helpful and friendly staff if there are particular plants you are looking for.

Shop Products

Rumwood Nurseries & Garden Centre stocks all your traditional garden centre products, including plant feeds, watering equipment, garden tools, plant seeds, bulbs, bird food, bird care, gardening gloves and outdoor lighting.

We stock all types of fertilizers, plant foods, lawn treatments and disease and pest controllers. Please consult a member of our staff for details on the most appropriate feed or treatment for your plants.

We also stock all shapes and sizes of panel fencing, posts and fence fixing accessories, and trellis, attractive woven-branch screens, log rolls, rustic rose arches and pergolas.

Trees

Rumwood Nurseries & Garden Centre grows and sells an enormous selection of trees of all shapes and sizes. Examples include ornamental trees, mature trees, fruit trees, evergreen trees, specimen trees, native trees, flowering trees, trees for small and also for big gardens.

Trees can give you a very pleasant outlook, can form an effective screen to keep out prying eyes and unwanted visitors, and can help reduce road noise and spray.
